DESCRIPTION:A full day celebrating brass and concert bands from across the region. \nBands from throughout the East Coast and beyond will compete\, perform and showcase their talents in a day featuring championship competition\, youth ensembles and an afternoon Festival of the Bands. \nWhether you’re a banding enthusiast\, a supporter of a participating ensemble\, or simply enjoy live music\, there’s something for everyone. \nEvent Schedule\nEast Coast Band Championships\n9:00am – 1:00pm\nBands perform a major test piece and hymn selection of their own choosing before an adjudicator.\nClosed (anonymous) adjudication \nYouth Gala Concert\n1:00pm – 2:00pm\nEnjoy performances from local youth\, development and training bands. \nThe Youth Gala provides emerging musicians with the opportunity to perform before a live audience and showcase the future of community banding. \nFestival of the Bands\n2:00pm – 6:00pm\nThe Festival of the Bands is an afternoon of entertaining performances from competing bands\, with bands bringing a variety of themes and styles.
